Aevolo Secures Best Overall Team

Aevolo Under 23 Cycling Team Wins Best Overall Team at Redlands! Quinn Felton 4th Overall GC, Gavin Hlady 6th Overall GC.

[Redlands, California] — The Aevolo lads have just finished a successful Redlands Classic Stage Race, with Quinn Felton 4th Overall on GC and winning the Best Young Rider Jersey, with teammate Gavin Hlady 6th Overall and 2nd in the Best Young Rider Classement. The lads were ably supported by Ian Lopez de San Roman, Gabriel Shipley, Brooks Wienke, Sean Christian and Alfredo Bueno Jr, riding toe to toe with the Yellow Jersey of the race Tyler Stites on the Onyx Summit Queen Stage, and launching several attacks fighting to claw back seconds on the grueling Final Stage Sunset Loop.
 

After sprinting to 4th on Stage 1 and wearing the white jersey for a day, Brody McDonald scored a 2nd place on the Stage 5 Sunset Loop to underline his prowess as a fast finisher on hard stages.

The success of the team was underlined by winning the Overall Teams Classification, with the honor of having the team name etched on the the perpetual trophy for the second time after the Aevolo Class of 2019 also won.

The next objective for the team has them traveling to the high desert of Silver City, New Mexico for acclimation ahead of the UCI 2.2 Tour of the Gila beginning April 24.
