JOE MARTIN STAGE RACE NEXT FOR AEVOLO

April 3rd,  2019

From USA Crits to the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour, Aevolo is winding up for a full season of racing. This time the team is headed to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Joe Martin Stage Race. The four-day stage race begins on Thursday, April 4 with a 113-mile road race, followed by another road race the next day. A short, but steep, uphill time trial is on Saturday and the race culminates with a criterium on Sunday.

“I am super excited to come back to Joe Martin,” Hoehn said. “It is a race I have done for a couple years now and love everything about it. There are a couple of stages that I am really excited for the first being tomorrow, and the second stage being the TT. Both stages have uphill finishes that should suit me pretty well. My girlfriend went to the University of Arkansas for the past four years, so when I would come down here it was nice to see her because I am away from her and my family throughout most of the year.”

Tyler Stites said last weekend’s Sun City Criterium was a nice confidence boost for the team. Sites sprinted to a close second and the U25 best young rider jersey, while Aevolo won the team competition.

“We were working really well together and came away with a good result,” Stites said. “We are hoping to carry that momentum into Joe Martin this week. I think we have a really strong team for Joe Martin and it’s a great opportunity to show our strengths.”
