What or who inspired you to start riding?
Watching the Tour de France every summer as a kid got me really excited to ride.
What’s your biggest goal for the season?
This season, I want to learn as much as possible. Soak up knowledge like a sponge, and generally develop into a better rider.
Where is your favorite place to train and why?
Tucson, because there is nice weather and a great cycling community.
What’s one lesson you’ve had to learn the hard way and/or beginner mistake you made and now laugh about?
I got dropped in a race, and I hadn’t studied the course at all so I had no idea where to go. I ended up at the finish line, but I got there an hour before everyone else.
What race are you most looking forward to this year and why?
All of them, I love to race! A major goal is to help the team get invited to some stage races this summer like the Tour of Utah.
What is your dream race to win and why?
Liege-Bastone-Liege. Just watching it, it seems pretty epic.
Which pro rider would you love to have as a teammate: Kwiakowski. It’s just the way he races. He’s crafty, fast and looks cool doing it.
